Watch as the South Dakota storm from May 9, 2011 gathers and becomes tornadic. Footage from near The Badlands to near Philip, SD.
We got on our first active tornado warned storm of the trip, and it produced a tornado. Poor visibility and lack of light kept us from seeing it, but it was likely very close.
Today we go hunting for tornadoes in the South Dakota area. And a brief recap of the non-event in Nebraska yesterday.
